Top tips to grow your landlord portfolio – Property Reporter

To Let 690

Letting agents know that unless you are actively growing your letting agency, you’re simply stagnating. But do you know how to add more landlords to your portfolio?

Sally Lawson of Agent Rainmaker shares some of her proven strategies to help you gain more landlords, win instructions, and earn more valuations – growing your agency and achieving the success you’ve always dreamed of.

1) Build lead automation systems

Lead automation means building various touchpoints where leads are transferred into your sales funnel and your database, saving you work and creating lots of conversion opportunities. It’s an opportunity to build your business which has been around for a long time – but some letting agents still haven’t begun using this impactful tool.

2) Build your funnel hub

Consider your website as your funnel hub. How can you create lead capture points and opt-in opportunities? We’re talking about downloads, guides, checklists, blogs – anything you can offer for free in exchange for their information in your database, so you can then nurture them.

3) Host your own landlord webinars

This is the single best strategy to help you generate and convert more leads quickly. Within weeks, you can gain 200-300 new landlords on your books. It can be intimidating to get up in front of people and share your knowledge, but it can also be incredibly effective – and software like Go-To-Webinar and WebinarJam makes hosting very easy.

4) Build your affiliate army

Would you like 100 different people referring to you? Some of the top businesses in the world got there thanks to affiliate marketing – so make it a goal. Start with all of your contractors, as it’s easy to frame your request in their interests so they understand the benefits of working with you as an affiliate. You can also run competitions, or hand out prizes for a certain number of referrals.

5) Use a CRM email system

You’re going to need an email system that allows you to email your database prospects at least once per week. Having a CRM system to drop all your data into can be really useful in growing your agency, helping you nurture your leads into a full conversion. Email is the most cost-effective way to market if you do it right. So start growing your letting agency today – write those emails and get the word out.
