The benchmark’s stats are sobering: It has fallen for three consecutive quarters, for a total drop this year of nearly 24%. It’s been tough to find equity winners. While consumer discretionary and energy shares rose during the quarter, both plummeted from recent highs. Only one-third of the S&P 500 individual components are set to finish the third quarter in the green. The quarter taught tough lessons to investors about their ability to predict the future. ESG Investing with Carbon Credits – What Investors Need To Know – CarbonCredits.com

Reducing carbon emissions is one of the most critical issues facing individuals and governments today. This is evident through a focus on ESG investing while governments create a cost through carbon credits to account for climate impact. ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance . Within investing, it refers to investors considering these factors in companies they invest in. YouTube age-restriction quagmire exposed by 78-minute Mega Man documentary – Ars Technica

Aurich Lawson / Capcom reader comments 34 with 23 posters participating Share this story A YouTube creator has gone on the offensive after facing an increasingly common problem on the platform: moderation and enforcement that leaves creators confused by the logic and short on their videos’ revenue potential. The trouble centers on a longtime YouTube video host whose content is popular among the retro-gaming devotees at Ars Technica’s staff. The creator, who goes by the online handle “Summoning Salt,” chronicles the history of various classic games’ speedrunning world records. His hour-plus analyses demonstrate how different players approach older games and exploit various bugs. The games in question are typically cartoony 2D fare instead of violent or M-rated titles. Only about 30% of millennials are comfortable investing in crypto, down from about 50% in 2021: ‘The shine has come off these coins’ – CNBC

Cryptocurrency’s popularity with American investors is on the decline. In 2022, only about 21% of Americans feel comfortable investing in cryptocurrency, according to Bankrate’s September survey . That’s down from 35% in 2021. Although comfort levels dropped with investors across generational lines, the decrease was steepest among millennials. Nearly 30% of American investors between the ages of 26 and 41 feel comfortable in 2022, compared to nearly 50% in 2021. The decline is unsurprising, considering nearly $2 trillion has been wiped off the entire crypto market since November 2021. “Traders of any asset are fair-weather fans, and with major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum down more than 70% from their all-time highs, it’s little wonder that the shine has come off these coins,” James Royal, principal reporter at Bankrate, tells CNBC Make It. “Declining crypto prices don’t help the cause of attracting more people to crypto,” he adds. Initially, many young investo

Enhance risk-adjusted returns with factor investing | Mint – Mint

In the recent past, we have seen a lot of mutual funds come up with new fund offers focusing on factor investing. However, several individual portfolio or fund managers have already been following this strategy for some time now. A ‘Factor’ is a differentiating characteristic of a stock that delivers excess returns. While ‘factor investing’ usually requires a lot of data and numbers, factors are very intuitive to understand. These strategies are typically created as a basket of stocks. However, as quantitative methods are used in making these strategies, the baskets are well diversified and, more often than not, carry a risk less than the Nifty index. It scores higher in terms of performance as well. While the Nifty 50 Index has given around 10% CAGR since 2010, most factor strategies—based on Nifty thematic indices— have a much higher return. Notable examples will be momentum strategies beating the index with a wide margin and giving 20% CAGR in the same period and even factors

Write a blog about that process that explains the steps you took to get there and also nonchalantly lets your customers know that you are ahead of the curve. 2.
